STEP 1:Unlock the ladder near the first bonfire in Undead Burg (under the bridge that the red drake is guarding). At this point, you MUST also have LIGHT EQUIP LOAD.
STEP 2: Walk up to the bottom of the ladder and you should see a message saying "/: Climb Up". Stop there and DO NOT climb up the ladder.
STEP 3: Navigate to the "Configure options or quit the game" screen and select "Quit Game".
STEP 4: Once the title screen appears, if you are human (NOT hollow) "Log Out" into offline mode. Either way, continue to load back into your character by selecting "Continue".
STEP 5: Once you are back in the game world, DO NOT move and make sure that you are NOT two-handing your weapon, then WHILE HOLDING , PRESS L2 / LT to start up the SOUL GENERATOR (Heavy Rumble and flashes).
NOTE: The SOUL GENERATOR will continue to gain souls. When you wish to shut off the generator, simply repeat the button presses in Step 5 (Light Rumble).
